NOCTURN SPORT

Leagues and competitions for betting

Every league has its own rhythm, scoring pattern and quirks, and good betting starts with knowing them.

Updated October 5, 2026

This hub gathers the betting leagues and competitions we write about, from European football to North American majors, the tennis tours, the UFC and the biggest League of Legends events. Each league page explains the format, what is specific for betting, the popular markets and what our model looks at before it prices a fixture.

Nocturn Sport calculates its odds in-house. Matches in football, hockey and baseball are priced with a Poisson goals model, basketball and the NFL on a points model with normal distributions, and tennis, the UFC and League of Legends on Elo ratings that are turned into match or series probabilities. You can read the full method in how we price odds.

Why league context matters

A 1.90 price on an NBA spread and a 1.90 price on a Bundesliga handicap both imply about 52.6 % probability, yet they are built on very different inputs: back-to-back schedules in one case, a two-goal swing from a single set piece in the other. Knowing the competition tells you which number to trust and which to question. For the sports themselves, see the sports hub, and when you are ready, compare our prices on Nocturn Sport.

Frequently asked questions

Which leagues does Nocturn Sport price?

Our coverage grows league by league. The live block on each league page shows what is open right now; if it is empty, the next fixtures will appear there once our model publishes prices.

Are the odds the same model for every league?

No. Goal-based sports use a Poisson model, high-scoring team sports use a points model with normal distributions, and one-on-one sports and esports series use Elo. Each league also has its own home advantage and scoring level learnt from past results.
